Hei! I am an American father and IT worker/entrepreneur. My family and I wish to emigrate to Finland for cultural, social, political, and life-style reasons.
My father's parents both were born in Finland. I have investigated the "remigration" option, and it looks like a good way for us to immigrate to Finland.
However, I am not able to determine if the chances of our application being approved would be 100%, 50%, etc. That is, the application instructions do not say that we will be accepted for sure.
I have all the documents needed: my grandparents' Finnish birth certificates, marriage certificates, my father's info, etc.
We visited Finland last year, met with relatives, etc.
I would be able to bring my current job with me, most likely.
I would be willing to hire a laywer if that helps.
